Report on viscose fiber industry in Chinese mainland

Many new production capacity after 2004 have made the viscose fiber price down, the whole industry entered a rapid decline in the economy cycle. Turning point of the current round of viscose fiber boom was from late 2005 to early 2006 and made industry into improved phase. Since then, viscose filament yarn which was previously limited production stimulated by rising prices, after which viscose staple fiber prices also continued to rise. Viscose staple fiber industry went into the growth stage. Plastic staple output continued to increase, in recent years, with production growth of 15% to 25% and the expected annual compound growth rate from 2007 to 2009 is about 15% to 20%.
