New technology to improve the degree of polymerization of polypropylene

Guangzhou Petrochemical has developed new technology on polypropylene production by changing the melt index control to improve the degree of co-polymerization. In this case, nearly 3,000 tons of surplus propylene resources each year can get a good disposal. It is said that this process of polypropylene in the domestic industry is the first application of its kind.

It is understood that the impact co-polypropylene produced by this technology have a shorter grade transition period and reduce the use of transition material. The new technology can also reduce the fluctuations in the reactor, which is conducive for long-cycle production. In addition, the heat release and water consumption has decreased in the process of production, which further decrease the energy consumption.
